The branch has approximately 100 members with a diverse mix of retired employees from both health and social care, and their partners. In addition the branch has an active programme of group activities; walking sessions, theatre groups, and visits to venues of both historical and cultural interest. We have regular guest speakers, on a range of subjects both educational and informative. Throughout the year members are offered the opportunity to go on holiday trips within and outwith the UK. The committee is always looking to introduce new elements to their varied programme and encourage active participation of members in this process. Coffee and tea and home baking are available at every weekly meeting. The branch organises a Christmas lunch, and there is an annual “Bring and Buy Sale” to raise funds. New members are very welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.
