About usThe Basingstoke Branch of NHSRF meets at 2.00pm on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Community Room at the Discovery Centre in Basingstoke Town Centre. This building is also the town’s library. The town has grown considerably over the years and we are fortunate to have many bus services that come into the Bus Station from the surrounding areas. There is also a main line station with trains to London Waterloo and the West Country
Activities
As a branch we have a speaker most months covering many different topics after which we have tea, biscuits and a chat! We have regular coffee or lunch dates at local garden centres or restaurants. There is always a Christmas Dinner visit. Other activities involve some members joining up and to go to the local theatre or the nationally known Anvil concert hall in the town. We have been 10 pin bowling.
Other information
The only cost apart from the annual subscription is £3 entry fee each month. This just covers the cost of the hire of the room.
We are a friendly group of mainly ladies, but with a couple of gentlemen too. You will be made very welcome if you come to join us.
