The NHS Retirement Fellowship demonstrates its support as Age UK delivers its # Switched Off petition to Downing Street
On Thursday 1 August 2019 Age UK, supported by the UK’s major pensioner groups, including the NHS Retirement Fellowship, presented a petition signed by 634,334 people calling for the Government to keep the free TV licence for all over 75’s. As you will be aware, it is a campaign strongly supported by the Fellowship and we have been encouraging all of our members to sign the petition. We were thrilled that Lorraine Taylor, our Regional Representative for North West Thames, was able to join the Team presenting the petition to 10 Downing Street to emphasize the Fellowship’s backing for the #Switched Off campaign and represent us. Lorraine can be seen at the far right of the photo. We all await the response from our new Prime Minister and his Government!
