Florence Nightingale Fortnight

As part of the celebrations of Florence Nightingale’s bicentenary, October 21 – November 4 has been declared Florence Nightingale Fortnight by the Foundation of the same name which provides scholarships to nurses.
The dates tie in with the anniversary of Florence leaving for and arriving at the Scutari Hospital in Turkey to care for injured soldiers during the Crimean War.
