We are a branch of approximately 50 members and our meetings take on a very informal and friendly atmosphere with time to socialise, meet old friends and make new ones. We have had a variety of speakers on subjects such as The Role of the RNLI, History of The Great North Road, Godmanchester?s Refugee Project, Dogs for the Disabled and the Paralympics. More recently we organised a Platinum Jubilee Party with a buffet and entertainment for our members, and a talk about the Butterfly Legacy Project. We have active interest groups for Scrabble and Crafts, and a monthly Lunch Club. Outings are arranged to the theatre and to places of interest, also an annual holiday. There is a very supportive Welfare Section for our members, and at national level we will endeavour to have a representative at the National AGM and Conference.
