Date & Time
The branch meets at 2pm on the last Thursday of the month for 10 months of the year. The meeting lasts about 2 hours. After a short business meeting, there is a speaker followed by a tea and biscuits, or cakes on as many special occasions as we can invent. The talks range over a wide range of topics from ones of local interest to tales of people’s adventures at home and abroad.
In July we have a strawberry tea, in August there is no meeting nor in December when the main event is our Christmas lunch. There are also regular day trips to places voted for by the members. We are happy to welcome people for a free first visit if they want to try us out. People working in all sectors of the NHS, Social Services and all aspects of related occupations along with their partners, relatives or friends are made welcome
A biannual newsletter containing members£ news and stories keeps members up to date with recent meetings and outings. It was originally intended to help keep in contact with members who were unable to attend our meetings but has proved so popular that it is currently being given to every member.
Please come along and try us you just might enjoy yourself, catch up with friends and past colleagues listen to interesting speakers and join our little community of care workers. Look out for our postings in the North Wales Weekly News, The Daily Post and the Pioneer.
